Wondering what that strange tunnel in the shopping area is? Actually, it is a passageway to get to the south side of the tracks. It’s a shortcut to get to the boarding dock for the regular passenger vessels.

Signboard in Front of Station

There is a signboard in front of the station guiding pedestrians to the underpass. Just follow the directions and you will be on the other side in no time.

The Street In Front of the Station

Just go in the direction of the sign with Dakokuten, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune, that identifies the street in front of the station that goes to the gateway to the Kasaoka Islands. One of the pillars tells pedestrians that it is 300 m to the regular passenger vessels for the Kasaoka Islands.

Simple directions painted on the street give directions to the underpass.

To Underpass

This is the entrance to the underpass. No cars allowed. Cyclists must get off their bike and push it.

Where to Go After the Underpass

There is also a sign explaining how to get to the boarding dock for the regular passenger vessels after going through the underpass. There are also signs along the way guiding people all the way to the boarding dock, so all you have to do is follow them. It takes about 5 minutes to reach the boarding dock.
