Taka-shima Island
Taka-shima Okiyo-kan Museum
This is a historical archive on Taka-shima Island built entirely by the residents. The broad range of items it houses were collected by private individuals who unearthed them on the island. They include archeological materials from the Jomon, Yayoi, and Kofun Periods, as well as from other ancient times and the Middle Ages. There are also many household implements used up until the beginning of the Showa Period (mid to late 1920s).
On the mountain behind the museum is a stone monument erected in 1915 as an invocation to Emperor Meiji.
Odomari Remains
Among the items on display are artifacts unearthed from the site of the Odomari Remains.

| Access | From the Sanyo Kisen Sumiyoshi Boarding Dock at Kasaoka Port, take the regular passenger vessel (Sanyo Kisen) and travel 25 minutes to Taka-shima Port (ordinary ship). |
